A clear pathway for your next learning step

Online Quran Ijazah Course

Our online Quran Ijazah course focuses on preparation for an assessed recitation or memorization pathway. The starting point depends on your current proficiency and the requirements of the authorising teacher, not simply on having attended earlier Quran classes.

Who this course is for

This is a pathway to discuss after reviewing your reading, Tajweed and memorization. Beginners may need foundation courses first. Enrolment, attendance or payment alone does not guarantee an Ijazah.

What you will practise

  • Identify recitation and memorization areas that need further preparation.
  • Refine Tajweed application through detailed review.
  • Understand and prepare for the authorising teacher’s assessment requirements.

Learning with a clear purpose

An Ijazah pathway should make its scope clear: the reading studied, the teacher who may grant authorisation, the expected recitation or memorization standard and the assessment process. Establishing these details helps you prepare for the actual requirements.

Course curriculum

What the course covers

01

Initial review and preparation plan

Discuss your previous study, current reading and memorization, the intended reading and the relevant prerequisites. Agree on preparation goals and any foundation work needed first.

02

Recitation accuracy and memorization

Review articulation and Tajweed in detail, and revise memorization where required by the pathway. Supporting language or meaning study may be discussed alongside the core recitation work.

03

Assessment readiness

Revisit corrections, practise the required portions and discuss how assessment will take place. Confirm the teacher’s authorisation, transmission chain and completion criteria before treating this as an Ijazah route.

Practice between lessons

Maintain a record of corrections and revisit them in later recitation. An assessment preparation plan should include review of earlier work, not only progress through new portions. Ask which errors must be resolved and what standard the teacher expects before assessment.

Frequently asked questions

Is an Ijazah guaranteed when I finish lessons?

No. Authorisation depends on the teacher’s requirements and a successful assessment. A fixed number of lessons or a fee does not establish eligibility.

Do I need to memorize the whole Quran first?

Requirements vary with the specific pathway. Confirm whether recitation from the text, memorization or another scope is required by the authorising teacher.

What should I ask before enrolling?

Ask about the reading, teacher, transmission chain, prerequisites, assessment scope and the distinction between a completion certificate and an Ijazah.
